The Battle With Self

Hello Readers,

Today I want to touch on a very important subject. Every Christians struggles with this whether they understand it or are willing to admit it. I want to talk about what it means and where the struggle really comes from.

As a born again Christian we no longer have claim on our physical body. Scripture says that we are dead to sin and alive to Christ. The apostle stated that it is no longer he that lives but Christ that lives in Him. This is a bold statement and sometimes we wonder how he could say something like that and what it even means. Well this is what it means.

The moment you truly gave up all sin and understood who God was you repented and placed all your faith in Jesus Christ. You were born again. You were filled with the Spirit of Christ Jesus. Now that means that you died. Yes you died. Now the battle is not between you and the devil which many believe it is. The battle is with Christ Jesus and your flesh. How do you know this? If you read and study Romans 6-8 chapter 7 is clear on this internal battle. Many would try and have you believe that chapter 7 is not for born again Christians that is foolishness. An unbeliever has no spiritual mind nor can he understand the things of the Spirit and yet the apostle Paul clearly says with my MIND I desire to obey the law he even says he delights in the law of the Lord in the inward man, but he is a slave to sin. The apostle Paul says who will deliver me from this body of sin and death. In chapter 8 he clearly goes on to say Jesus Christ.

What does this mean? This means as a Christian we may bounce from chapter 6-8 many times in life. Not being born again twice but we are born again we look to Christ, we fall into sin or yield to temptation, we look to Christ again to find freedom, back to 6, then 7, then 8, then 6, 7, 8 and the cycle continues for some time. Now Jesus commands us to stay in chapter 8. He says walk in Holiness. Without it no one will follow the Lord. Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect. He means it. When he told the adulterous woman to go and sin no more do you think He was joking? Of course not.

How do we stay in chapter 8? We must give up our right to our own body. However difficult this may sound we must identify ourselves with the death of Christ. We died with Him that he might live through us. We must get our eyes off of ourselves and our own worthlessness and look to Him. As we do this the desire to sin will fade away and disappear. This is super important and here is why.

Jas 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

If you desire to sin when the temptation comes you will give in because desire is there, if desire then sin, then death. You cannot get around this. If Jesus does not kill the desire in you then you are not of God. Now remember this can be a battle and often is because we don't know the Word of God and are not meditating on it and talking to God. This is not a joke. If you continue in desire of sin you will be lost forever eventually sin will lead to death.

Look to Jesus He alone is the author and finisher of our faith. Remember you died with Him a long time ago or recently for you new believers. Sin no longer has dominion over you. Let Jesus so change you that you have no desire to sin. As a matter of fact ask Him to put His Fear in you so much so that you hate sin with a passion.

May God richly bless you with this message and may He keep you blameless until that great day.

Sincerely,

Your Brother in Christ James Peters Sr.

Can a True Christian Fall Away and Be Lost Forever?

Hello Readers,

Today I want to address a serious issue in the body of Christ. Can true Christians fall away and be lost forever? My answer might surprise you so please read the whole article. The truth is YES and NO. Some of my Calvinist friends will be shocked that I say this so let me explain I will start with the following scripture.

1Jn 2:19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

You see scripture states there are some who abide for awhile but then leave. They seemed to be of us however they proved contrariwise because they left. What is it they left? Not always Christian fellowship or the Church however quite often that is the case. They left the fundamental doctrines of Christ.

2Jn 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

These are Christians who drift off into Apostasy. Remember all the disciples thought Judas was a true man of God. They thought he was genuine. Many Christians think they are genuine. They think they are born again and we think they are as well and they end up in apostasy and quite often blatant sin. These are true Christians who believe in Jesus Christ and start off in the race.

HOWEVER they were NEVER BORN AGAIN. They heard the gospel, they were probably convicted of sin and judgment. They understood hell was there fate. They changed outwardly but they did not hear it as a HOLY calling. They reformed their lives only to return to their sin. Hebrews 6 and 10 are solemn warnings for hearing the gospel and continuing a sinful lifestyle instead of total repentance and faith in Christ. These once upon a time professors are doomed forever.

Heb 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Heb 6:7  For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This is why the Bible is so clear we must examine our faith to make sure we are in it. We must prove that we are born again... How? We LOVE the brethren. We genuinely care about each others souls. We warn each other about the dangers of sin and the biggest danger of sinful heresy which leads men to destruction. We love God and obey His commands.. How? We abide in the vine. Jesus called us and He will keep us unto the end. Let me prove it to you.

Heb 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2Ti 2:25  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;  (God gives the GIFT of repentance)

Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  (Even your faith is the gift of God.

Eph 1:4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  (Before the world was created he chose you to be Holy and blameless in love) Are you called with a Holy calling?

Joh 6:39  And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

These are just a few verses to show that if God called you, He justified you, if He justified  you, He will sanctify you, and one day He will raise you to Glory. Praise the LIVING GOD.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Sincerely,

Your Brother In Christ

Is Joel Osteen a False Prophet?

Hello Readers,

Today I want to give a prime example of someone not preaching the full gospel. Joel Osteen is in fact a false teacher. He preaches to the masses about health, wealth, and prosperity. You will never hear Joel Osteen preach about the dangers of sin. You will never hear him preach about God's terrifying wrath. All you hear is niceties and Joel saying how much God loves you and what God wants to do for you. This is a prime example of the false prophets in the old testament. They tell the people what they want to hear instead of telling them the truth.

All men of God warn both the church and the unbelievers about the consequences of sin, the wrath of God, and they place Jesus above everything. All that they say leads back to Jesus and how you can run to Him. Sinners must understand that they are not OK with God. That His wrath abides on all who continue in sin unwilling to repent and place their trust in Jesus Christ.

Dear readers be careful who you listen to. Do not believe everything you hear coming from the pulpit. Be diligent in your search of scripture. Make sure you  have the right Jesus. The Jesus that saves His people FROM their sin. Jesus does not leave His people IN SIN.

A key to look at in discerning false prophets from true ones. Almost ALL false prophets ask for money and are covetous. If not all of them. Some do it and hide it from people. They also will not lead you out of sin but affirm you are OK in it.

May God Bless and Keep you,

Your Brother In Christ,

The Truth About Christian Perfection

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to address some things about Christian perfection and what it really means to be perfect unto the Lord. Many evil servants of the devil say that Christians cannot live Holy and cannot stop sinning which is totally opposite of what the Bible says. They twist 1 John 1:8 which reads the following 1Jn 1:8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. This verse does not say he who says he does not sin but has NO sin. This simply means we have a sinful nature to deny that is to not be in the truth or have the truth in us. Even born again Christians HAVE a sinful nature. However they now have the ability to overcome the sin within and serve Jesus and righteousness. The Bible warns us against sinning willfully. This means we should not go around sinning willfully and breaking God's command with intent of the heart. The Bible says if we go on sinning willfully there is nothing but certain doom, but many Christians want you to believe that you can be a Christian and sin willfully every day. Below are some verses that you must consider.
 (
Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

The Bible commands us to be perfect and actually calls men perfect other than Jesus. (This does not mean they never sinned but according to God they were walking in total perfection by obeying His commands)

Noah was perfect.
Gen_6:9  These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Asa had a perfect heart.
1Ki_15:14  But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.

Job was perfect.
Job_1:1  There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. (See how he feared God)

This is just a few examples. Hear the Word of the Lord today and cast off your willful rebellion today.

1Pe_5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Jas_1:4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Heb_10:1  For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb_11:40  God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Heb_12:23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb_13:21  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Php_3:15  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Col_1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

This is just a very few verses regarding us becoming perfect in Christ Jesus. We are to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. His ministers who truly Fear God are to lead you into PERFECTION. Any minister claiming you cannot stop sinning or taking sin lightly is either backsliddin at heart or a minister of Satan. The way you can tell which he is is to show him the Word of God regarding this and see how he reacts. If he denies it then warn him again if he continues to rebel against the Word of God he is not of God. I pray you hear me today. Who will get into heaven but Christ Jesus HOLY Saints? I tell you none none at all.

Eph 4:11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

If your minister is not leading you to perfection is he truly of God. I will leave this questions with you today.

God Bless and Keep You

Sincerely,
Your Brother In Christ James
